Param Computer Information Technology Institute

Cool Campus aims to investigate the form, function and role of pervasive computing environments involving advanced technologies such as wireless communication, wearable and handheld computers, smart spaces, smart cards etc., in empowering students and staff in their day to day activities.

All courses are approved by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) which is a part of Central Government Employment and Training sector. Apprenticeship is covered in the courses at well-known companies. With the completion of the Course and Apprenticeship successfully one can get a job at good work place as well as awarded by the certificate of NCVT.

Specific Objectives

  • Provide a challenging and relevant focus for existing research in pervasive computing environment within the Faculty of Information Technology.
  • Provide opportunities to see and experience a technology based future where information will be made available wherever and whenever it is needed through the provision of many usable prototypes and demonstration applications.
  • Create synergy from collaboration between academic researches and groups for providing administrative and academic services to students and staff such as the Library, Students and Staff Services, Information Technology Services, the Centre for Learning and Teaching Support, etc.,
  • Have a well-developed community outreach program including facilities for individuals, businesses, schools and community groups to visit Campus facilities and view demonstrations of future technology. This will assist such groups to appreciate a technology-based future.
